Getting to know Antonio José Pérez, mentor in Occupational Health & Safety

Actualidad

Antonio José Pérez Barrera, mentor in occupational health and safety at La Lonja de la Innovación, has a long and interesting trajectory. For this reason, we wanted to talk with him to learn more about his experience in the entrepreneurship world.

Antonio José and entrepreneurship

Our mentor began his experience in the entrepreneurship world when he was proposed to carry out his first project as a freelancer, when he was only 28 years old. After several jobs of the same style, he finally founded Health and Safety Outsourcing, a company dedicated to the improvement of the systems of Occupational Health and Safety in industrial companies. In a radical way, this business project which started from zero, has grown to a staff of more than 35 people  working throughout Spain with clients of great importance.

Entrepreneurship in Huelva

It is clear that Antonio's experience in the entrepreneurship world is not little. Therefore, his speciality is entrepreneurship from scratch, with fundamental aspects  when it comes to setting up a startup such as “business plans, business performance, the transition from entrepreneur to businessman, the relationship with clients, the environment, social agents finally, personnel management and human resources”. Without doubt, an area in which he is of great help at La Lonja de la Innovación.

Even though our mentor believes that La Lonja “is going to help innovative projects to create a better environment and region” he knows the difficulties that must be faced every day in Huelva, however, he claims that he will continue fighting “because from this corner we can do extraordinary things”.

To achieve this, he helps the accelerated startups, especially in aspects such as the “entrepreneurial initiative, customer relations and labor relations”. But he believes that this is not the only thing that needs to be done from Huelva in order to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, he affirms that we must “attract multinational companies that invest in the province and at the same time generate auxiliary companies, innovation and entrepreneurship”.

Getting to know Antonio José Pérez better and hearing more about his experience has been an honor, you can continue getting to know the rest of the mentors of La Lonja de la Innovación on our web.
