Bio Absoil is making progress in the development of its OSR solution with funding from the RETECH Program

At La Lonja de la Innovación, we are happy to see the companies in our ecosystem grow. Today we want to tell you about the great milestone of Bio Absoil Solutions SL, accelerated at La Lonja de la Innovación, which has been a beneficiary of a grant from the Digital Agency of Andalusia within the framework of the Retech Program.
This funding will be allocated to the development of its digital OSR (Oil Spill Response) solution, aimed at managing emergencies related to hydrocarbon discharges and oil spills in ports and coastal areas.
The Bio Absoil project
To understand the importance of this milestone for Bio Absoil, it is necessary to look back at the reason for the birth of its project. The company's first lines of work emerged with a clear objective: to create a digital support system that would improve planning, control, and response to maritime pollution episodes in sensitive areas where rapid action is decisive. The key areas where this agility of response was sought are port, industrial, and coastal environments.
Based on this objective, Bio Absoil has evolved into a broader technological proposal that combines digital solutions, high-capacity natural absorbents, and valuation models for contaminated waste. This has allowed the project to be oriented not only to cleaning up spills but also to a more circular, traceable, and efficient response.
In recent months, this line of innovation has been reinforced by the participation of Bio Absoil alongside EONSea, both from the La Lonja de la Innovación ecosystem, in a Hackathon in Spain and France. There, the project received recognition and allowed for progress toward the development of rapid response teams for accidents and fuel spills in port areas.
This experience has served as an impetus to continue consolidating a technological line focused on early intervention, reduction of environmental impact, and operational improvement in emergency scenarios.The RETECH program grant

The grant from the RETECH program represents key support to continue developing its digital OSR solution. In addition, it helps strengthen Bio Absoil's positioning as an Andalusian benchmark in environmental innovation and circular economy applied to the port sector.
This grant is part of the "Development and implementation of digital solutions with sectoral application" line of the "Digital Entrepreneurship Networks" project in Andalusia, corresponding to the RETECH Program. Action co-financed by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union - Next Generation EU (C13I1).
