La Lonja and the Puerto de Huelva help 37 startups on their way to achieving their goal: Ports 4.0 grants

Puertos del Estado launched a new call for the Ports 4.0 fund last December, under the pre-commercial projects category, with a budget of €11,250,000.

The purpose of these grants is to support the development of new products, services and processes or improving existing technologies with a new innovative component for the logistics-port sector.

With the announcement of this new call, La Lonja de la Innovación made itself available to the interested to provide guidance on their applications and explore ways to align their projects with the Puerto de Huelva, enabling them to apply also with its support.

In this way, 37 startups reached out to La Lonja de la Innovación to receive our guidance and be one of the beneficiaries of Ports 4.0 grants. Among them, several secured agreements, in which the Port Authority of Huelva has played a key role as a facilitator agent in their applications. These startups represent a diverse range of technological solutions with the potential to transform the port sector.

  1. Action Tracker with its solution OnBrain for the automatic identification of port and rail operations with the aim of improving intermodality.
  2. Magna Dea and its solution Sentinel IA.
  3. Blocknitive, a niche startup focused on solving business problems through a traceability platform, integrating technologies such as artificial intelligence and IoT, with its solution Greenlogistics.
  4. Conceptdron with its port logistics solution using drones, Dron Logistics.
  5. Gibraldrone Professional & Technical Services SL, with its solution for conducting underwater technical inspections using drones for port infrastructure monitoring.
  6. GuardedBox and its solution GuardedBox-PQC, a technology platform for secure information sharing with post-quantum encryption in the port sector
  7. Hamsa Group, with its solution Huelva Easypass, uses palm and vein biometrics for secure and privacy-respecting authentication, aiming to be implemented at the Puerto de Huelva.
  8. Ecomov Nautical is developing Hydromov, a solution for decarbonizing the maritime sector by using clean energy propulsion, including hydrogen as a fuel source.
  9. Nexterra Agrotech and its solution Pyrolina, a fire-neutralizing lance that sprays a fully biodegradable fire-retardant gel, designed for high-risk environments, making it an essential safety tool for port infrastructure and other critical sectors.
  1. Portagma is applying with its digitalization and automation solution, which enables the port community to make informed decisions and optimize ship turnaround efficiency at ports.
  2. Protio Power and its solution Coldhyroning, a hydrogen fuel cell generator for cold ironing.
  3. SMARTHAPS is presenting PLEAMMAR+, Autonomous Stratospheric Platforms for Maritime Monitoring PLUS.
  4. Synnect Technologies has developed Radiant, a Digital Twin for real-time cargo tracking in the port environment.
  5. TrustPort has created a platform that uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analysis to provide real-time visibility of cargo movements.
  6. Unblur is applying with IRIS, an intelligent incident and emergency management system that provides real-time situational awareness and enables safer and more efficient team coordination.
  7. Bio Dragon Tech has a circular economy project for the port sector, focusing on cleaning and recovering biofuels from oily spills and discharges.
  8. EONsea is submitting its application with PORTIA, a platform for optimizing inspections using robotics and artificial intelligence technology, aimed at reducing the economic and environmental impact of vessel maintenance.
  9. Gabitel and its solution AccredVision, for efficient and secure access management, integrating real-time data into digital platforms.
  10. Hitachi Rail GTS Spain and its solution Virtual Operation Control Center – VOCC.
  11. MPL XR Europa and its solution Invenza Ports, a virtual and mixed reality training platform for port operations.
  12. SnailStep has created BlueStep, an innovation and sustainability project for smart tourism in Huelva.
  13. Surcontrol is presenting Neo Port, an intelligent and interoperable data platform for port environments, ensuring secure information exchange and knowledge sharing while enabling real-time monitoring for predictive port management and maintenance based on IoT and artificial intelligence.
  14. Teknei Digital has developed Minerva, a solution for intrusion monitoring, notification in restricted areas, and advanced surveillance.

In addition to the 23 startups that achieved facilitation agreements,another seven startups also received the guidance and letters of support from the Puerto de Huelva to submit their applications for the call:

  1. Celering for its solution Agents-DRT.
  2. Allread and its solution On-Device Ars which enhances decentralized traceability in intermodal transport through embedded OCR recognition in peripheral devices.
  3. Bluematt, with its solution Subsea Maintenance AUV (SUBMA), an autonomous vehicle for cleaning ship hulls and collecting biofouling.
  4. Robotnik Automation and its solution Roboport, an autonomous robot for logistics management, vehicle control, and environmental monitoring in port environments.
  5. Ineco presents its solution PURSUIT (Platform Using Remote Sensing for Uncleanliness Intermaritime Tracking).
  6. Centro Español de Logística with its solution LogiVerse-CX (LogiVerse Corridor eXperience).
  7. Masorange and its Eco-portal, a platform for managing emissions from logistics and port traffic.

With actions like these, we strengthen our commitment to the digital and sustainable transformation of the port sector.
