Entrepreneurship podcasts and books for summer

The arrival of summer brings the time to relax and unwind, but if you're one of those people who doesn't like to disconnect completely, you're in luck, because learning and discovering new things is possible even as a form of entertainment. For this, books and podcasts are a fantastic tool for learning while sunbathing, taking a dip in the pool or unwinding after a day at the beach.

This is why today at La Lonja de la Innovación we wanted to give some recommendations of podcasts and books about entrepreneurship for this summer, grab a pencil and take notes!

Podcasts for entrepreneurs

In the last few years, podcasts have experienced an incredible evolution. This is why we can now find a vast number of podcasts on various topics, including entrepreneurship. We recommend adding the following to your list:

  • Boss Tank: Ser tu propio jefe. This podcast by Álvaro Rodríguez aims to help you achieve everything you set out to as an entrepreneur. Its content is truly valuable for anyone considering entrepreneurship, as it is packed with highly useful advice. You can listen to it on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0Axsz7z8PrkX9jWRIqWwlJ
  • Una vida a tu medida. In this podcast, Ángel Alegre interviews entrepreneurs to uncover how they started, what their initial steps were, and what obstacles they encountered along the way. It can be a great resource for learning from those who have already ventured into the world of entrepreneurship. • TED Talks negocios. Everyone knows TED Talks. These talks are helpful for all kinds of people, but if you're interested in presentations on entrepreneurship, innovation, and business, we recommend listening to the TED Talks on business. Books for every entrepreneur

If you're more traditional and prefer reading, we also have a list of books that every entrepreneur should read.

  • El libro negro del emprendedor: no digas que nunca te lo adviriteron (Fernando Trías de Bes). This book identifies the key factors that determine failure and defines the basic traits that every entrepreneur should have: motivation and talent. It's essential for understanding what elements to avoid to prevent your startup from failing.
  • La estrategia del océano azul (W. Chan Kim y Renée Mauborgne). This bestseller, published in 2005, remains as relevant today as ever. It aims to show us the need to create blue oceans, that is, new, unexplored market spaces. It’s a great choice for learning how to differentiate your startup from the competition.
  • La semana laboral de 4 horas (Timothy Ferris). Good time management is crucial for the success of your business. In this book, Timothy Ferriss helps you make the most of your time with various strategies, thus reducing tension and stress.

What do our mentors recommend?

The mentors at La Lonja de la Innovación also enjoy learning even in their free time. Therefore, they have taken the opportunity to offer some reading recommendations that are essential for every entrepreneur.
