La Lonja de la Innovación consolidates as a benchmark on its third anniversary 

La Lonja de la Innovación celebrates its third anniversary, consolidating its position as a benchmark for the acceleration of technology startups in the logistics, port, industrial, and environmental sectors in Huelva. Three years of activity in which we have supported dozens of projects in their development and scaling, fostering connections with the ecosystem, investment, and open innovation.

This year, we have welcomed new startups to our program, including Biodragon, Blocknitive, Dulfitech, EONsea, Iberbox, Kyvrox, and Surcontrol, as well as international companies such as HamsaID and Kimun Tech. All of them have trusted us to develop their solutions from the Port of Huelva. 

At the same time, six startups completed their acceleration process: Nexterra Agrotech, WIOT Nautica, Trustport, Portagma, Conceptdron and Desarrollo Circular. They are now part of our alumni network, and we continue to collaborate with them to support their future success. 

An expanding ecosystem with an international vision

The evolution of the initiative has also been reflected in the need to expand spaces. Our showroom, a key space for the visibility of the solutions developed by startups, has been relocated to respond to the growth of the program. This transformation is a direct reflection of the dynamism we experience every day.

During this third year, we have intensified several key lines that already form a structural part of our support model

FIWARE technology consolidation

• We obtained our second FIWARE star at the Global Summit held in Naples, reinforcing our role as a space committed to the adoption of open technological standards.
• We technically support startups in integrating this technology. As a result, Dinycon and Gabitel have been recognized as FIWARE-Ready.
• We integrate FIWARE not only as a desired requirement, but as a competitive advantage for projects that want to work with large logistics operators or public infrastructure.

Strategic Advisory

• This year, 37 startups requested our support to prepare their applications for the national Ports 4.0 program.
• From La Lonja de la Innovación, we have offered comprehensive guidance: fit analysis, roadmap definition, value proposition enhancement, and alignment with port system goals. In this recent period, up to 30 companies have relied on the Port of Huelva as a facilitator in this process.

International reach of the startups and our teams

• La Lonja de la Innovación startups’ has been in national and international forums such as the Port Automation Summit of Singapur, Blue Zone Forum or 4YFN.
• Our director, Rocío Díaz, and Camila Rodrigues, CTO of EONsea, were recognized by the WIN-BIG Project as two of the 10 Most Inspirational Women in the Blue Economy in Rome. 
• These actions reinforce our ability to connect local talent with global opportunities, facilitating the internationalization of the developed solutions.

Events as a tool for building connections and raising visibility

The events we organize at La Lonja are a key tool to foster connections between projects, investors, corporations, and public actors. This year we highlight:

• The second edition of our Demo Day & Meet the Investors, a space for presenting projects to investors specializing in technology and industry.
• The workshop “Innovation in industrial and maritime discharges”, which brought together experts and presented cutting-edge solutions such as those from Biodragon Tech and Bioabsoil.
• Recently, a series of workshops focused on generative Artificial Intelligence, driving advanced training in emerging technologies.

We turn three years old stronger than ever. We continue to grow alongside the startups that trust our methodology, expanding our strategic horizons and driving from Huelva an innovation connected to the major global challenges of the logistics and industrial sector. To much more!
