These zones require efficient road management to minimize risks and ensure operational safety. However, they present particular challenges:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Open space:<\/b> Docks must maximize space utilization and, therefore, minimize physical elements on the surface. This makes the installation of traditional signs difficult.<\/li>\n<li><b>Impracticability of painting surfaces:<\/b> Painting signs directly on the ground proves useless, as bulk cargo quickly covers the markings.<\/li>\n<li><b>Existing infrastructure:<\/b> Although the docks have lighting towers, sheds, and conveyor belts, these structures have not been used to facilitate road management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently, lanes are opened with watering trucks to reduce diffuse particulate emissions, but this measure serves an environmental, not operational, purpose, and its impact on traffic management is limited.<\/p>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/li>                                            <li class=\"aph-accordion__item\">\n    <input type=\"radio\" name=\"accordion\" title=\"What are the requirements for the desired solution?\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n    <i class=\"icon icon-caret-right\"><\/i>\n    <h3 class=\"aph-accordion__item__title\">\n        What are the requirements for the desired solution?\n    <\/h3>\n    <div class=\"aph-accordion__item__content\">\n        <ul>\n<li>\n<p><b>High-visibility light projection:<\/b> Use high-intensity laser or LED devices that are visible even in conditions of high daytime luminosity and that do not interfere with the traditional lighting on the docks. Other technologies will be evaluated.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>Integration into existing infrastructure:<\/b> Leverage the lighting towers, sheds, or conveyor belts already present on the docks, minimizing the need for additional installations and ensuring the protection of the projectors against collisions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>Adaptive traffic management:<\/b> Implement projected signage for lanes, waiting areas, and pedestrian crossings. Include signs such as Stop or Yield activated by sensors or radars that detect the arrival of vehicles or the presence of pedestrians.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>Ease of installation and maintenance:<\/b> The solution must be easy to install and operate under the particular conditions of the docks, ensuring its durability against the demands of the environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>Description of the functionality:<\/b> This challenge seeks to cover the previously described needs. Specifically, the awardee of this challenge must satisfy the following services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Carry out the supply, configuration, and installation of the sensorization to cover the challenge requirement.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Integration of these elements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>For the pilot project, it will be sufficient to represent one traffic sign and one projected marking in lanes and\/or pedestrian crossings.
