The Port Authority of Huelva stands out as a facilitating port in the Ports 4.0 program

From La Lonja de la Innovación, the Puerto de Huelva continues consolidating its paper as a national reference in technological and sustainable transformation of the port sector.

Recently, the Puertos 4.0 program, promoted by Puertos del Estado, has approved 16 new commercial projects with a total investment of 6 million euros. Among them, the Port Authority of Huelva has once again stood out for its role as a facilitating port in three cutting-edge projects. In this way, it consolidates its commitment to the technological and sustainable transformation of the logistics-port sector.

The purpose of this aid is to support the development of new products, services, processes, or improve existing technologies with a new innovative component for the logistics-port sector.

The projects that have received the support and advice of the Port Authority of Huelva as a facilitating agent in their applications have been:

  • WaterChallenge. A platform that promotes intelligent and sustainable water management in industrial and port environments, optimizing its use through artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.
  • Nuuk Technologies. A project that develops digital solutions for environmental monitoring and decarbonization, contributing to more sustainable, connected, and efficient ports.
  • UTEK. Applies computer vision and the Internet of Things (IoT) to improve security, traceability, and operational efficiency in ports.

Thanks to the collaboration with these initiatives, La Lonja de la Innovación strengthens its role as an open innovation laboratory and a catalyst for change towards a more competitive, sustainable, and digital port model.
