DEEP INSIGHT is a technology-based spin-off from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), specializing in the development of advanced monitoring systems for maritime and port environments, as well as the provision of integrated services for risk management and decision-making support.
Their value proposition is based on three fundamental pillars:
- Design and manufacture of advanced non-intrusive instrumentation for monitoring the physical environment, infrastructure, and port operations.
- Probabilistic characterization of the physical environment and port operations, using artificial intelligence and data analytics, for accurate, efficient, and predictive management.
- Development of intelligent platforms, based on efficient data management, capable of providing standardized, real-time information tailored to the specific needs of the user.
DEEP INSIGHT was created by the Harbour Research Laboratory (HRL-UPM) and the Hydrodynamic Test Channel Research Group at the ETSI Navales (CEHINAV), with the aim of transferring the knowledge and solutions developed by the research team to society.
This team focuses its expertise on port, coastal, and offshore areas, coordinating its work around the definition, simulation, evaluation, and management of operational and infrastructural risk in maritime activities.
Thanks to its experience, DEEP INSIGHT has the necessary resources and in-depth know-how to address operational and infrastructural risk management, integrating advanced simulation, artificial intelligence prediction, and the development of proprietary monitoring systems and intelligent platforms.
