Six new startups join La Lonja de la Innovación

Six new startups have joined La Lonja de la Innovación with the opening of our startup acceleration call on January 22nd, which remains open year-round. These startups are Desarrollo Circular, Portagma, Conceptdron, Traxport, Nexterra Agrotech and WIoT Náutica. Each operates in different sectors, but they all share a common focus on innovation and technology.

Remember that our call is still open. If you also want to be part of La Lonja de la Innovación and accelerate your project like these startups, you can register through this link and find all the information on our website.

The new startups

  • Desarrollo Circular. This startup aims to help Puerto de Huelva and its auxiliary companies quantify their carbon dioxide emissions using an AI-based technological tool. This tool provides a global view of their activities with individualized control over this parameter. It addresses the need for public entities and large corporations to meet new environmental legal requirements (both national and international) that demand the calculation, verification, and reduction of their carbon footprint.
  • Portagma. A digital solution to automate and share information within the port community. Portagma revolutionizes port operations with an innovative software solution that leverages the latest artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies for intuitive data integration and analysis. Its platform allows the port community to make informed decisions, optimizing the efficiency of ship docking operations.
  • Conceptdron. It is a company specialized in drone services. It offers innovative and technological solutions for the industrial, agricultural, and audiovisual production sector. It stands out for its extensive experience in drone operations equipped with cutting-edge technology. In the industrial sector, it provides infrastructure inspection services, land mapping, and facility surveillance, helping companies improve operational efficiency and safety. In agriculture, it offers precision agriculture services such as crop monitoring, land mapping, and phytosanitary treatment applications, contributing to optimized yields and resource management. Additionally, in the audiovisual sector, it provides aerial filming, photography, and multimedia content production services.
  • Traxport. Established to monitor real-time temperatures to maintain the cold chain, Traxport develops cutting-edge technologies for automating the tracking and traceability of goods throughout the supply chain. Its platform uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analysis to provide unprecedented visibility into the movement of goods. Additionally, they offer specific hardware for shipment tracking. Their solutions allow companies to track the status and location of their shipments in real-time, optimize delivery routes, predict delays, and efficiently manage their logistics operations, also facilitating compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Nexterra Agrotech. Specializing in chitosan solutions for sustainable agriculture, Nexterra Agrotech's formulations trigger plant defense mechanisms, reducing the impact of fungi, viruses, and bacteria on plants and soil, thereby strengthening crops and preventing losses. They are the only Spanish company specializing in agricultural chitosan, with products tested on over 21 crops in 8 different countries, achieving remarkable results for an ecological and "non-chemical" product. They have a small experimental farm in San Juan del Puerto (HU) where they produce liquid chitosan, marketed thanks to investment in a biological reactor. The ultimate goal of the company is to produce pure chitosan from the waste of shrimp consumed in Huelva (mainly industrial), using the exoskeleton of shrimp and other crustaceans.
  • WIoT Náutica. Offers visual map monitoring of recreational nautical vessels in the port, as well as during their voyages. It enables real-time tracking of vessels in the docks, harbor basin, and up to 5 nautical miles to prevent risky situations, thefts, losses, and problems in the docks. It allows vessels to be located immediately in real-time, saving considerable time in rescue operations and potentially dangerous situations. This significantly reduces maritime accidents, such as those that frequently occur during the summer due to the loss of small vessels in open sea, jet ski accidents, catamarans, small sailboats, and consequent loss of human lives.

The Acceleration Program

The Acceleration Program lasts for 4+4 months, with the possibility of extension, and works closely with the different startups through a methodology supported by a team of mentors composed of executives and entrepreneurs from the tech sector.

Startups joining the La Lonja de la Innovación will benefit from a physical space within Puerto de Huelva, where they will receive numerous services to develop their project: 100% personalized mentoring tailored to the company’s needs, networking, commercial connectivity, training, access to both public and private funding, a network of contacts, media visibility, access to events, piloting of proposed solutions, access to the FIWARE community, personalized technical support to integrate the proposed solution into FIWARE, and more.

If you would like to enjoy these services and advantages, sign up for our call to join the Innovation Hub’s acceleration program.
