La Lonja de la Innovación celebrates its first anniversary with the opening of the II Startup Acceleration Call, which will be open until 16th March. Register now!
The acceleration program
At La Lonja we are looking for innovative technology-based projects or companies that are framed in areas related to the Smart Port concept, such as logistics, mobility, governance, environment, social factor or economy.
The selected projects will enjoy, for 4+4 months, with the possibility of extension, our Acceleration Program, which works in a personalized way to each company through a methodology supported by our team of mentors, formed by managers and entrepreneurs in the technological sector
In addition, they will also have other benefits for joining La Lonja, such us having the opportunity to be part of the global innovation ecosystem where contact with other entrepreneurs and organizations, have access to Open Future’s catalog of exclusive offers of digital tools, private equity funding, networking events, media visibility… and many more benefits.
La Lonja de la Innovación first year
In the first edition of our program the companies Neobotik, TMS Maritime Solutions, Allread, Nebulous Systems, Kemtecnia, Tripulando y Seaport Solutions participated. All of them give a positive assessment of the impact that the experience has had on their growth, in Néstor Santos, CEO of Tripulando, words “you realize where you are, where are you going and the real situation of your startup in relation to others in the ecosystem”, an aspect with which Tomás Domínguez, CEO of Kemtecnica, agrees. He highlights the team of professionals in the program “it is a real luck to have been able to learn from experts in all areas, as the network of mentors at La Lonja is spectacular”
In the first year of activity, many face-to-face and online activities related to entrepreneurship and port innovation were carried out at La Lonja de la Innovación, overcoming the assistance of 1.300 participants. In addition, more than 180 hours of mentoring were provided.On the other hand, La Lonja has been present at some of the main trade fairs in the sector, such as Transfiere Málaga, South Summit Madrid, FIWARE Summit Canarias, Meet the investors, y AspBan Lisboa, among others.
In addition, in this first period of activity, we have achieved two important milestones: formally becoming the first iHub FIWARE dedicated to the port vertical and being recognized as a European Digital Innovation Hub- EDIH- by the European Union.
Finally, in preparation for the II Call, a series of events open to the public have been organized in order to disseminate the value propositions of La Lonja de la Innovación. Among others, there will be two Open Days with free mentoring open to all those interested in the initiative on February 22nd and March 7th, as well as training about the Startups Law, FIWARE courses, Demo Day with presentation of cutting-edge solutions, assistance at events of the sector, etc.
